Worksnaps is excited to pre-announce the launch of its brand-new web application.
We have been working hard on our new web application for months and we are getting very close to the Beta release. During the past couple of years of running Worksnaps, we have received a lot of feedback on our product, both postive and negative.
We appreciate both and take them seriously. The best way we feel to
understand the pulse of a business is to frequently talk with our customers. One of the more frequest requests is to make our web application more user friendly. We especially hear it from customers who manage large number of users and projects. Early this year, we commenced the redesign of the whole user interface. Now after months of iterations between design, development and testing, we have made the new web application ready for beta release. We believe that the new release will vastly improve usability and flexibility to manage projects and track time, ultimately leading to more efficiency.
Here are the few highlights of our new web application.
- View Information Across All projects – The Project Selector at the top-right of Dashboard and Track Time page allows you to view information across all your projects, or filtered by a specific project. The enhanced Dashboard page gives you clear picture of what has happened to your projects from high-level stats to the detailed timeline of each user. The new Track Time functionality allows you to view the time logged by your users in any of the projects you manage, or all of them together. Improved design makes it easy to visualize the time and activity, filter the information as necessary, and perform various operations, such as modifying time, deleting time and making private time slots visible.
- Consolidated User and Project Management – Different companies have different ways to manage projects and users. Some have many projects with small
user groups, while others have large number of users in a few projects. Worksnaps now provides two ways to navigate and manage the complex user-project relationship,
either centered around users or centered around projects. The newly designed Manage tab allows you to effectively establish and configure the best organization model that fits your needs. - More Powerful Reporting – Worksnaps now provides a simple yet powerful Report module that allows you to query the time logged by your users. Reports can
be generated with flexible criteria, and can be saved, printed and exported as you want. Also, we revamp the Invoice module to make it more professional looking. - Much more to explore – We have built many more enhancements into this release.
The new user interface is clean and simple yet packed with many features. We
invite you to explore it yourself and provide any candid feedback that would allow
us to continue to iterate on Worksnaps, making it the best time tracking utility for remote teams.
We will open the Beta to selected customers at the beginning of January 2014. The general availability will be in Feburary, 2014.
