We are currently rolling out the upgrade to Worksnaps client to our users. The new client provides enhanced functionality and better stability. Based on the current version that you are using, you might be required to upgrade. In such case, upon logging in, you will see a message that prompts you to upgrade Worksnaps client. The following is an example.
If you see such message, you can click the link in the dialog window and you will be brought to a page where you can download the newest version of Worksnaps client. You can simply download the new client program, uninstall your current Worksnaps client, then install the newly downloaded one. All it takes should be less than 5 minutes.

Will this be compatible with win 10
Yes, it should be compatible with Win 10. We have done a couple of rounds of testing on Win 10 and it works fine. We will allocate more cycles to cover Win 10 on various systems.
Is there any specific date for the new version?
We constantly release new versions on our web site (http://www.worksnaps.com/www/download.shtml). We do not force users to upgrade to the new version unless there is critical fix.
This time we roll out the upgrade to some users because the versions they are using are too old. We want to bring them up to the new version for enhanced functionality and better stability. It also makes our support easier by being able to focus on fewer client versions.

We upgraded to the newest version but unfortunately one of my team has issue after upgrading. The error message is “cannot retrieve the task list. This might be due to temporary issue on its server. Please try again later”. But it’s been 3 days already the she can’t log in the and keeps getting this error message.

But you can always compare your version with the newest version and do upgrade. To check your version, you can click the Worksnaps icon on the task bar, select “About …”, then you will see a splash window with the Build number. You can compare the Build number with the newest one on the download page.
